What is Quebec doing here?

A momentus event in Melbourne, Australia was yesterdays Gay pride parade. Given that yesterday was sunday, and not so much was open, and since gay pride parades are always a good time, david and I packed our "backpacks" and headed down to the parade. BTW our pride parade compared to their pride parade is like comparing Christmas with a nice lunch, they dont even have any floats. But the spirit was their, and that's what counts. RENT was also their, which was weird, btw we are going to see the first showing of RENT in Victoria ever! The coolest thing for us was to see a Canada group marching in the parade. Right in between the girls leather club and the Mens bears club, was a guy hoisting a huge Canadian flag. And to the left of him a guy hoisting a huge positive space flag, and to the left of him a guy hoisting a giant QUEBEC flag. What the hell is Quebec doing here, they are not a country or even a thing really. Damn seperatists are campaigning for sovergneity in Australia? I just don't get it.

Also worth noting: hot German girls are a lot more fun than you would think.
